RE: OT: Miami Attendance
I would think that, with Miami playing off campus in a pro stadium, that their actual attendance numbers are reported as well...I'm just not sure where to find those statistics.

That's not correct. Nippert is probably a good 3 miles north of Paul Brown stadium, and that is not a walk most would do safety wise once you got out of downtown.
2.5 miles to be exact.
By 2012, there will be a street car line connecting UC and the banks where Paul Brown sits.
With this, I expect UC to continue to use Nippert with only 1 or 2 games a year at PBS.

RE: OT: Miami Attendance
Florida is a basketcase financially. Unemployment is high, and foreclosures are high in the state. Florida is one of the hardest hit states in the country when it comes to the economy. When it comes down to having enough money for food or entertainment, food is going to win hands down. The problem is that Miami boomed more than many other cities during the economic bull market so when the market crashed, they have also crashed more than the average market. Tourism is a major part of the economy for Florida and its really down even though the recession has been officially over for more than a year.

Careful - this is Cincinnati government you are talking about. You might want to push that estimate back 10-15 years.

And don't get me started on the 'streetcar'.

Is it possible for Miami to play in the new Marlins stadium downtown? Less seats and closer to campus.

From St Pete Times (USF Attendance):

Actual Attendance for 2010 Games BEFORE Syracuse Game:

Stony Brook: 32,870 (Announced Crowd: 40,201)
Western Kentucky: 29,939 (Announced Crowd: 40,278)
FAU: 28,946 (Announced crowd: 38,434)
Syracuse: 30,344 (Homecoming)(Announced 41,917)
Rutgers: 25,755 (Announced 39,465)

Actual Average: 29,571

Announced Average: 40,059

Announced Attendance Average for:
Miami - 56,952
UCF - 39,180

No sugar-coating it, this attendance sucks. In part probably because the lineup of home games sucks. For the most part, those are just not attractive matchups.
