RE: Meet the Trojans Event on October 28th
For those of you who have not yet submitted your application for the 2010 – 2011 Tip-In Club, I encourage you to do so. Please either mail in your application to the Athletic Office or turn it in at the “Meet the Trojans” event on Thursday, October 28th. We hope you will show your support for the Trojan Men’s and Trojan Women’s Basketball Teams by your attendance at games and by your Tip-In Club Membership.

The “Meet the Trojans” event this year will be free to all fans. It will be on Thursday October 28th at The Jack Stephens Center. This is a free event for Trojan fans to be able to watch the men’s and women’s basketball teams practice, meet the players and coaches, take pictures with the team, and get a preview of both teams for the upcoming year. This is a free event but fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for donation.

The “Meet the Trojans” event is scheduled to begin at 5:30. There will be an open practice with Men’s and Women’s teams from 5:30 – 6:30pm. Concession stands will open from 6:30 – 8:30pm with free food & drinks, plus a cash bar will be open. Meet the Men’s and Women’s basketball teams and Coaches for pictures and autographs after practice. Pick up season ticket packets and purchase new Trojan gear for the upcoming season.

Seems odd that practice ends the same time the concessions open. Guess we all need to bring a soda pop along with a can of food.

RE: Meet the Trojans Event on October 28th
I would love to go. Never attended one of these events before because I was too far away or otherwise tied down. Don't know yet. I am debating whether or not taking my three-year-old daughter on a 2 hour drive to LR and back on a Thursday evening to attend this event is a wise move. I think she would enjoy it for a short while. We've done similar trips to visit relatives recently and it went well, so why not?
