Dude, Ohio has beat EMU, BG, and Akron in their last three games. Ohio's other win was against a I-AA school. If you beat Miami this weekend, Ohio will start getting some respect from people other than Bobcat fans. But until then, the schedule has been weak. Those three conference wins are against teams with a combined 2 wins.

I mean CMU blew out EMU earlier this year, and it's obvious that CMU is rebuilding this year with 3 conference losses already.

i just looked at USA Today's site and OHIO is favored by 3. should be a good one! GO BOBCATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 04-rock

Quote:Ohio 30 - MIAMI-OHIO 16—Ohio can catch Miami in the MAC East
standings with a fifth straight series win over the RedHawks. HC Solich’s tandem
QB system utilizing Bates & Jackson producing positive results for Ohio, and doubt
Bobcat defense will allow Miami QB Dysert (399 YP last week) or soph WR Cruse
(179 rec. yds) to repeat big CMU performances.

Two experts have chimed in.

Goldsheet has Ohio by 14 (30-16) and AKC has Ohio by 15 (35-20).

I don't feel like Miami has the diversity on offense which Ohio brings nor the experience on defense. Miami's wins against KSU, EMU, CMU were tough fights against lower tier teams.

With the exception of Temple, NIU and maybe Toledo the remainder of the MAC teams look lower tier. Ohio is the best of the rest based on what they are doing right now offensively.

There is no reason not to expect a victory here. Miami is only slightly better than Akron and BG, the difference is coaching.

This is where you will find out. If you win you will be vindicated a little. If Ohio loses then everybody else will be vindicated (even if Ohio wins the other posters are mostly still vindicated since they are only saying that Ohio has not proved anything yet not that Ohio can never win).

Just as a point of inquiry, AKC, how far from reality is it possible to travel through distortion-----one, two blocks?

Turnovers will decide this game. Ohio must protect the ball better especially against a Miami defense that has gotten turnovers. If Ohio turns it over they will lose, if they don't they will win. Its that simple.

Quite simply I see noone on OU's roster that concerns me. Miami takes this convincingly05-mafia

yeah he was quite a player! there's noone better than noone! 03-lmfao

and mpurdy22, it doesn't surprise me that you don't see anyone on OU's team that can hurt you because you're not looking in the right place. look for those players in your end zone celebrating Bobcat touchdowns! 03-nutkick

ex-Cincy Kid: No argument that Miami won against weaker teams (although CMU is kind of a "head scratcher" as they almost beat Northwestern), but who in DIA did Ohio beat? Here they are: 1) EMU at 1-6; 2) BG at 1-6 and; 3) Akron at 0-7. OU did win very convincingly vs. BG and Akron and beat EMU by one 6 pts more than Miami beat EMU. OU also lost to 1-5 Marshall. No, I don't see an OU blow out win evident, KC. I will say this, though, OU does have a more balanced attack than Miami, and if you can run the ball down our throats then you will win the game.

Well, it wasn't even close......mucho TO's for Miami, and OU rushed for 222 yards and controlled the TOP as well. Disappointing in the extreme (for Miami fans). I expected Dysert to have a much better game today.>>he threw for alot of yardage but threw 4 picks.....
