Never sought a job. Hmm, a twenty something adult with a four year degree NEVER SOUGHT A JOB. 01-wingedeagle

So you enrolled at WMU after dropping out of law school, like that was your only option. It was a choice, you have many options when you have a four year degree, and didn't have to choose WMU. Especially since you didn't like it there for your undergrad, which you stated when you were bantering and pretending to be a lawyer a few years back. Don't act like WMU was your only option and you and WMU are stuck with each other, that's not the case.

You chose it, and now you act like it's a sentence. Quite the dichotomy.

I have a job. Would you have felt more comfortable with the word "career" instead?

And I honestly don't know what you're talking about...I made it clear that I wanted an advanced degree. Implicit with the phrase "I wanted" is that I made a choice to get it.

I also don't know how much clearer I could be that WMU was cheaper. My family is in Kalamazoo and it's cheaper to go to WMU than it is to go to, say, a Michigan State.

Break down your cheaper statement. I don't buy it, why is an advanced degree from WMU cheaper than Michigan State? How much "cheaper"? BTW, again you come across as a wuss, you go for "cheaper" instead of investing in yourself. No wonder you're so bitter.

YE OLE Chuck questions mr. IrishMichigan's logic here. He attends WMU because it's "cheaper", but had no problem laying down 25 a year for two years of Cooley law? Only after he flunked out of Cooley did he become self-aware of tuition costs. He may have saved a couple grand by attending WMU over MSU, but he's accumulated a lifetime of guilt and self worthlessness in doing so. Well, that and the fact that when he's still paying his debts to cooley 20 years from now, he can thank WMU for the ability to do so.

I have to admit, there are many great ND graduates. In fact, my good buddy, who graduated from ND, and a group of us Western fans will be watching the game here in Franklin, TN.

Everybody I've met from ND are very accomplished in what they do and very respectful to apposing teams. This bashing mentality of some posters just doesn't make sense.

I love Western and respect N.D. I'm glad we're playing there and hope we win or at least have a good showing.

By the way, I have two good friends who graduated with me, one who went to Harvard Law. The other went to N.D. Law school. I went to Boston College for my masters on a scholarship. Western provides a very solid education.

Boston, with all due respect, NOT ONE PERSON said a thing about ND graduates here. Including Irish, who isn't even a Cooley graduate.

I must admit; I question whether you are being absolutely honest about everything.

So do I, brovol. Especially because attending Cooley (not that I think that's a bad thing) plus taking out money leads me to believe he didn't do too well the first go around at WMU.

Not responding to you.

I also enjoyed my time at Western. I received a great education there. "No social life"..are you nuts. We had Miller Auditorium on campus. And next no it was a small theater for plays (is it Gilmore?), hell to get old. I saw concerts, plays, musicals. WMU has a great symphony and theater. There was fun stuff to do in Kalamazoo. Basketball team was rocking when I went there. If you didn't have fun then it was your fault, you do have to leave the dorm you know.

Good luck to Broncos in today's game.

Agreed. Indeed, it is almost a problem, because there was always something going on when I was in school (the mid 80's). It was tough to stay focused on academics. (I lost focus frequently). Kalamazoo is a great city, and a great college town. Western's student body has generally been a pretty wholesome group of mid-western kids; mostly high spirited, well mannered, but fun loving. WMU is a virtual "social" wonderland.

However, at the same time I never felt that there was anything substandard about the education I received. It was excellent. In my experience, the professors were approachable, and had a good disposition.

I think we can all tell Mr Irishinmichigan is a dweeb with a lost soul. It ain't surprising he needs to associate himself with a school he truly has no connection with in order to reach some level of fulfillment. He probably rooted for the Dallas Cowboys as a kid too.
