that if you have your money on Southern Miss this weekend, you might want to re-think that. Our best running back was suspended for the game this weekend! This is always a great game. I thought Southern Miss might have the edge this weekend. But with Brown still day-to-day and now DJ suspended.... well i'm not so sure.

This is why coaches do not release alot of information, stupid fans run as fast as they can to tell everyone in the world. I would not blame them for never opening another practice.

Hardy, Floyd, Lampley, and Hester are more than capable to carry the rock. We won't miss a beat without DJ.

To say you won't miss a beat with your top running back out along with the fact he leads the team in catches is not a very smart statement. Sure the other guys might have a lot of talent, but to expect no impact of the suspension is just plain ignorant.

Why is it every team we play now has multiple starters out? Makes us look bad if we lose and if we win you have to wonder...

DJ, Floyd, Hardy, and Austin Davis have all been getting touches when it comes to rushing the ball. It really isn't that big of a deal.

Fun Stats
ECU's defense is ranked dead last in CUSA in Total Defense, giving up 41 pts/game.

Now if we were playing UCF who is currently ranked number 1 in total defense in CUSA and only giving up 13 pts/game then perhaps we'd really miss DJ.

Same thing happened to our star wide receiver, James Cleveland.

I realize our defense is terrible and i also understand you guys have some other talented ball-carriers. With that said, it's still ignorant to say that the loss of your leading rusher and leading pass-catcher "won't make your team miss a beat".

Your opponents must be doing it on purpose just to piss you off.

I'm sorry. I didn't know you watched our team play week in and week out and know what the rest of our backs look like.

Good to know you follow us so intently.

He's not even our starter. We have a stable of RBs that are all more than capable. You'll see.

Actually, I have had the pleasure of watching two of your games this year (sc and Kansas) and it is obvious to me that Desmond Johnson is the most explosive back on your team. Obviously the coaches think that as well since they have given him the most carries and receptions of anybody on your entire team.

I'm not saying your other backs aren't capable and that you guys won't run over us because you probably still will, but with that said, the loss of Johnson decreases the chances of it happening at least a little bit.

That's fine, our defense is going to make your second string RBs look like Heisman candidates. 03-banghead 03-banghead 03-banghead 03-banghead 03-banghead

Pretty much the truth, but that will only happen in the second half. First half we will look like we might have a clue.

So your're telling me the loss of your most productive skill player to this point in the season doesn't lower the chances of Southern Miss running all over ECU by at least a tiny bit?

Losing DJ will definitely have some effect on this game. I would guess that Lampley will now get more time in the backfield, and Kendrick Hardy might get to see his first meaningful action of his young career. Both of these players have great talent. Lampley has the speed and hands that DJ does, but is not as physical. Hardy is probably more physical, similar speed (prob not quite as fast), and not as good of a receiver.
