These two men along with the talent on the field have greatly improved the D line play. Good players + great conditioning and good techniques have really improved the DL.

Coach Beckman has stated that the conditioning program has really "thickened" the tackles such that that they are BCS level in size and strength. Rasheed has won wherever he has coached and Beckman is very high on Court's abilities.

Give these guys credit for the success seen so far this year.

Go Rockets!

Agreed !!! I think both have done a great job... Toledo, always has, IMO, been fortunate to have an excellent strength & conditioning program in place... From Steve Murray and to his predecesors Chris Destito and Ken Mannie, whom I believe is still at Michigan State... These guys are such an integral part, or reason why Toledo athletic teams have done well over the years...

Going back to Chris Destito{a former strength coach}... I remember talking with him at a b-ball game back in the late 90's and was asking him how football recruiting was going... Seemed pretty upbeat on the class if they would land a lightly recruited kid out of River Rouge Michigan, who, in his opinion was a major sleeper...
Well, that kid was Chester Taylor...

Coaches can't comment on recruits until they sign national LOI. 05-stirthepot

He did not specify by name... There could have been fifty or more div.1 caliber players out of the River Rouge area for all we know...

50 candidates for this label seems, well, light.

We have the cupboards stocked with good defensive lineman - and in a relatively short period of time. I would expect big things out of Ben Pike - and Smith and Jones have already seen the field as freshman. Plus we have everyone back next year with the exception of Westbrook (depends on what happens with Johnson and if he receives and then takes a medical redshirt for this year)

Yes they can, but everyone keeps repeating it.
