Hey Big East posters
If you see anyone that you think is running down the Big East, shoot me a PM with a link. I can't read everything, especially on this board.
The Nunes thing was pretty funny, but these shots at the league are getting a bit old. If you feel the same way, shoot me a PM.

Sure thing BJ. The Nunes writer is actually a BE fan, unlike some others.

I don't mind criticism of the Big East from any source - our fans or others - as long as it is insightful. We're at a low point right now and things won't get better unless fans speak up about our shortcomings and hold coaches/admins feet to the fire.
The mindless bashing designed merely to troll for a response, which almost always comes from fans of other conferences, is what needs to be quashed.

Great Post!
We know we stink this year. No way around it.
If posters want to talk about the reasons why we stink this year (such as the loss of coaches once they help programs succeed - Petrino, RichRod, Kelly, etc. or new coaches still trying to find their way - Jones, Mallone, Holtz, Strong) fine.
And for the most part, that is what is happening. These boards have some of the best Big East posters and some of the best visiting posters as well.
But there are always a few bad posters who are here just to get a rise out of Big East football fans. I usually just don't respond, but if I see a trend developing with a particular poster, I'll pm the admin who requested it.
Cheers,
Neil

RE: Hey Big East posters
As I said a couple of weeks ago, there are a few folks that post or lurk on this board that take every opportunity to bash the BigEast all over the internet. It's hard not run into the usual suspects. Yet some of these folks then turn around and pretend to "contribute" on this board while they take not so subtle jabs at our schools, players, coaches and league.
I don't mind critical comments...I've been known to sometimes to be too critical....but these comments should be coming from folks that actually care about the league and our collective success. For the non-BigEast fans, critical comments are okay if they are fact based, but they should have less leeway. To allow some of these guys an open forum to bash the league non-stops creates an unreadable board, b/c soon that unbalanced negativity just takes over the board. Seen it happen on many other boards...
This is a great board, but it shouldn't be a place where fans of members schools feel like their Alma mater or conference is always under siege.

Point well-taken Cyber. Biggest challenge for me is finding where "the line" is. That's where you guys come in. Obviously, I don't always see things from the same perspective as some of the other posters.
I'm glad this board hasn't erupted too much yet, insofar as the usual suspects. But, seems as if most of the crap has been on the expansion board instead. I'm working on that one.
