Congrats on a solid win, guys!
Hey folks. You guys made me watch a game on the crap ten channel, so for that I'm not very happy with you, but way to go. I watched your game after the Iowa State game tonight and enjoyed it a lot. You guys willed that one out pretty good.

I'm sure glad spann didn't get clicking like he can, againsts us. He looked good again tonight. Scary thing is I don't think your guys are yet playing as well as they could have. Enjoyed seeing Bell get a few plays too. When your o-line clicks you can hang or even push around some serious beef, and make a back look even better. As they gell, I expect you guys to be high in the MAC pecking order.

eh, Our secondary is a lot better than Minny's, I'm more glad that Spann didn't play as much as he should have. Our secondary is scoring about as much as the offense. I know harnish would have been more of a challenge, but I like our d-backs chance better against any pass than a runner like spann.

Plus spann opened up the passing, but yeah that certainly didn't hurt. I know you're happy with the switch, but I think the key to hurting us would have been spann playing more. But we did blow some coverages that I'm sure Harnish would have hit. Our line didn't let a whole lot of passes get to the secondary. So we'll never know what ISU's d-back would have done. I'm fairly confident that the ISU D would have had their hands full had spann played as much as I thought he should have.

Just saying - all valid factors set aside , the game would have been much more competitive with Harnish and Spann complimenting one another throwing and running the football much more effectively than witnessed opening day.

Mike the key to a lot of our losses is Spann not playing enough. It's unfortunate.

He played quite a bit against Illiinois but wasn't getting anywhere. Of course, in the process, they let Harnish run wild. But still.

Well he had like 15 carries, the best player on the team should probably get the ball more than that, that being said, that game was obviously a bit different, with Harnish finding day light it made sense.

MN effed up game planning to stop Harnsh and did a poor job covering Spann.

They must not have watched Illinois game very closely. Spann had a spy following his every move.

Yep.. just one of the many reasons they want to fire their coach. Watching that game, it was easy to see why. Brewster and / or his staff are clueless.

I thought it was a smart move by our coaches to consistently hand the ball off to Spann instead of trying to have Harnish run it like in the Illinois game - and apparently Minnesota had mostly game-planned to stop Harnish.

ISU's secondary is probably better than Minny's, but Grady missed at least 5 wide open receivers, most on 3rd down, that would have at the very least made our game a lot more competitive.

FCS
Sat, Oct 16 Oklahoma * - at Norman, Okla. TBA
Sat, Oct 23 Texas * - at Austin, Texas TX
Sat, Oct 30 Kansas (Homecoming) * - Ames, Iowa T
Sat, Nov 06 Nebraska * - Ames, Iowa TBA
Sat, Nov 13 Colorado * - at Boulder, Colo. TBA

Sat, Nov 20 Missouri * - Ames, Iowa TBA

ISU still has a shot at a Big 12 North title with the Utah, Kansas, Nebraska & Mizzou games at home and OK & TX underachieving lately.

TX offense looked horrible last week and if they lose to OU this week they will feel as if their season is done. OK has beaten UT ST, AF & Cincy by 12 pts. Should be very interesting.
