RE: RUTGERS- UNC
The only thing that kept Rutgers from winning that game was their offensive ineptitude. Savage didn't look like a highly rated recruit today, and hasn't yet this season...

The defense did pretty good though. They kept UNC from scoring as many points as they scored on LSU or GT. It was a Pyrrhic victory. UNC scored more than they did...

Was at the game today. I can't say I've ever been more frustrated watching a team's offense than I was today. Savage looks like a mess out there. OL wasn't blocking for him but he took too long to get rid of the ball anyway. Not sure what's wrong with him so far this year.

And is there really a point in covering the rest of the team when you know 90% of the plays are going to involve Sanu in some form? The offense is a mess.

I didn't expect great things for Rutgers this year and had penciled UNC as a likely loss coming into the season but this was a winnable game and the offense blew it, big time.

With Sanu behind center UNC could forget about covering the pass...

I would blame Shiano more than Savage. What's the crap about rotating Savage in and out every other play it seemed. How can a QB stay in rhythm when he's constantly shuttling in and out.

The Wildcat thing needs to be a change of pace, not something base.

RE: RUTGERS- UNC
Well that game was ugly. The defense is very very good, which we had figured so far. The special teams is adequate as we had figured. The offensive line is getting better which is good. However the playcalling on offense is completely awful. Its time for Schiano to either get his ego out of his way and get a legit offensive coordinator with autonomy or everything he has built will crumble under its own weight rather than continue to progress. We're going to be very hard pressed to win more than another 2 or 3 games. When your defense holds the other side to 17 points and consistently makes all the plays you need them to, you should be able to provide enough offense to win.
