Well it seems as if the SHC does have a different set of rules. Their rules allow them to set up two days before the game.

From what I understand, Tiger Lane is owned by the City of Memphis (Paid $15 mil for it as I understand). It is a tailgating site for events held at the Liberty Bowl. The SHC (not "Soul bowl" ) is being played there this weekend and the fans of JSU and TSU have every right to tailgate there as the U of M fans do.

Also, the people who have paid for spots have paid for them for U of M games only. They have no claim to a spot for the SHC. So there's no need for the HH or the Blue Crew to "police their turf", it's not theirs to police.

where are the hundreds of people that news reports say are already there and tailgating? They in the Armory lot? I saw a few RVs over in the lot to the north of TL, but not hundreds.

Believe me- next Saturday will be a clusterphuck of confusion for Tiger fans as well. We will figure it out- find our spots when it is really crowded- and be settled as the year progresses.

Be patient, be kind- but yes- no squatters...please.

To me the main issue is that Fred Jones, TSU and JSU failed to instruct their fan base on proper procedure. Trying to dig fire pit and dumping RV waste with in the first few hours. Many a Memphis Tiger fan paid good money and just want it to be in decent shape when they arrive next week.

so what everyone is saying is that...

a) when a bunch of black people get together at a football game, the crowd, through their collective distain for rules, etiquette, decent behavior, and in general because they are a pile of blacks, will act like a bunch of savages and destroy anything in their path, like a wild, drunken negro tornado?

b) white people, who love stuff like rules and tennis, are clearly superior?

maybe if we averaged 60,000 a game there would be a greater degree of destruction during tiger tailgates. hard for 4100 to really tear the place to bits.

I can't comment on what btiger witnessed but I was there a few hours ago..approximately 5:30 pm and everything looks just fine to me. No trash or anything else. Just a few tents setup.

This thread is a prime example of rampant political correctness gone out of control.

As a result, there is now a discernible reluctance [nay, a fear] of standing up to condemn, or even discuss, the reality of the negative aspects that SHC, COGIC, Freaknik, and other such events have in common.

This palpable fear acts as a license of entitlement to do as such groups please. Those citizens hoping for a more orderly society can just like it or lump it. Or, cower down to some misguided retard hollering racism at the drop of a hat.

Civilization has taken a backward step due to political correctness and those PC robots who would protect any negative action by slinging the racist card whenever such discussions arise.

These are the very types of topical events that need to be addressed and hopefully resolved by mature and courageous adults of both races.

I wonder if the peeps on here that are complaining about the Southern Heritage Classic (not the Soul Bowl) has actually attended the game.
