Old Dominion
Anyone going to the ODU game on Saturday?

I hope to be there with the family. Any predictions?

If we play to our potential it could be a really good game. If not it could be really ugly.

We played them very well last year at ODU. This was the surprise game of the year for me last year. I thought we would get stomped but we hung in there.

I'll be in 109.

How many tickets did ODU get? Strictly hearsay here and it might not be true, but I heard they requested 4,000!! Looking forward to seeing the attendance and how CU accommodates it.

RE: Old Dominion
If we play like we are capable of doing we can at least keep the game close into the fourth quarter and if not or we play like we did last week it could get ugly. I would love to see the attendance record broken and Campbell pull off the unexpected and maybe the upset.

RE: Old Dominion
With ODU losing last week, both teams will come in feeling they under-achieved in the first week. I'm sure CU and ODU worked hard this week and will bring a better game Saturday.

I plan to play CU's new disc golf course early Saturday morning, shower/change, then park far away from the stadium so I can walk through campus and soak-up the game day atmosphere and look for faces I haven't seen in awhile. '97, if I see or smell chicken I'll wonder if it's you!!

By the way, if any of you haven't been to CU since last season, you'll be amazed at how nice it looks now.

I believe that Campbell has the chance to do something really special this Saturday at Barker-Lane Stadium. Although we are unanimous underdogs going into this contest, and rightly so, I feel our team is mentally prepared for an "all or nothing" signature win. One thing for certain, our guys will leave it all on the field. Hoping that a record crowd turns out to see whether or not we will be able to sustain this mental toughness for 4 quarters.

Go get them Camels!

Hoping for a win. Maybe there will be a really good crowd.

Orange - I will be in Section 109 as well. If you can't see me you will probably hear me.

See you on Saturday.

RE: Old Dominion
All I can say is - WE DO NOT HAVE A DEFENSE.

IT DOES NOT EXIST.

The Defense is worse than they were in 2008. We used to give up over 40 points a game nearly every game in our first year but we also turned the ball over a lot and made a lot of offensive mistakes to put the defense in bad situations. ODU just took the ball and drove it down the field by land and air. We leaned on them patted them on the back blew kisses at them and occassionally got in the way but we did not hit them and did not tackle.

It was a pathetic defensive performance. We played the same way on defense last week at UVA Wise and were able to get away with it playing inferior atheletes. ODU was not that good we were just that bad. The Defense needs to work on basic tackling drills and getting tough because they did not hit anybody hard enough today to break a wet paper sack. The punter made the hardest hit of the day today. If we had eleven defenders that hit as hard as he did we might have had a more respectable showing.

I am still holding out hope for the season but if we can't play any better on the defensive side of the ball than we did today it gets hard to look down the schedule and see who we beat. We are going to score some points this year because the offense is doing a decent job but the defense has to show up at some point.

Great game running by Daniel Polk and great kicks by Adam Willets. Also punter did a good job but punt coverage needs work.

The best defense we have is the offense. Run the ball and keep time of possession and score and keep the defense off the field.

I think part of the problem is the defensive backs. We seem to play too far off the line of scrimmage and then get farther away when the ball is snapped.

I agree that they do play too far off the ball. But it is more than that. The D-Line made very few tackles today and got very little penetration. The tackling was poor, D-Line, Backers and DBacks. I think it was group effort at seeing how bad we could play D.

RE: Old Dominion
The team has many problem on defense but I don't think we will get anywhere if we don't at least attempt to play the defensive backs near the line of scrimmage. We will get nickeled and dimed all the way down the field at 5-7 yards a pop and maybe more if we don't make the tackle on the initial hit.
