Wow, never thought this many networks would pick the game up. Opportunity knocks!

I'm in heaven. Leaving today for Jacksonville and I won't have to bug a bartender to put the game on. Will be nice to cheer on the huskies from the apt I'm staying at.

Great, I am in Utah, flying back from Southern Cal to catch the game where it is not being broadcasted. I wonder if I can get on Comcast on one of the college football stations I pay for?

Any word on NIU sponsored watch parties in the suburbs / city? If it's already been posted, can someone point me in the direction to find the information?

Saw a nice promo for the game during the Sox broadcast last night.

Wouldn't that be a good thing if we are being shown at the same time as a commercial for a Big 10 - Big 12 match up? I'd want people to associate our program with those types of programs. Even if UofI sucks every year, they still have a better reputation nationally.

Actually it was a commercial for the NIU-ISU, UI-Mizzou and NU-Vandy games. Billed it as kick off weekend, or something like that.

If you are an Illini fan, I can see how combining NIU and U of I gets you excited, but to me it was a downer. The Illini is synonymous with losing in most people's minds and symbolic of a program in a downward spiral. How we would want NIU associated with that is puzzling.

OMG. Have you even seen the commerical? It's basically saying Comcast is your home for local college football openers. NIU, Illinois, and Northwestern are all shown.

You can add CSN Washington/Mid-Atlantic to that list which covers Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Southern Pennsylvania, Eastern West Virginia, and Southern Delaware. I just looked up their programming for that day and it will be televised on channel 11 (CSN+) on Cox cable . I'd recommend people look at their local tv listings because it may be on additional CSN regional channels.

bottom line for me?

NIU -ISU will air on comcast in chgoland, right?

The only NIU Chicago party that I know of is at NIU's Chicago bar, Goose Island, there might be others that I am not aware of.
