You did notice that I used the term Starting linebacker. The majority of the beating was on the 2nd and 3rd stringers.

If his comments were what you were LAWLing about.

Who failed?

The scrimmage results are very encouraging.

Very encouraging for the teams on your schedule when you have to substitiute on defense.

If by substituting, you mean yanking all of the starters, and sending in 11 new players picked from the 2nd and 3rd string.

If we find ourselves doing that, we're probably in pretty good shape.

The best part about this thread is that Rice, Memphis and Marshall's second and third string would probably give up 1,000 yards.

I'd be very interested to see some information to back up your statement.

Boy there is a lot of smack going on from a bunch of people who saw zero plays from this scrimmage. No one on either side really knows what we looked like and it would be nice if we could all just wait and see.

Same thing has happened the last two preseasons, but we all know how those years turned out.

Back-to-Back...nuff said. You are the king of the mountain until someone knocks you down. No amount of idiotic internet nerds and their babble can change that.

ECU football fans are nearly as bad as some of our basketball fans and they don't even know it.

It's going to be pretty surreal watching ECU chuck it all over the field.

I'm starting to think the same thing.

Progression of this thread:

- ECU fan starts a thread clarifying that the scrimmage was mostly against the 2nd and 3rd string defensive players.

- Rice fan takes a shot at ECU.

- Memphis fan takes a shot at ECU.

- Then Marshall fan takes a shot at ECU.

- Then 2 ECU fans jump in and fire back.

Now we're getting compared to Memphis fans? After this summer, I can't believe anyone would even consider making that comparison.

Sure. And your follow up post (that someone quickly deleted) about how "hilarious" it was that ECU fans were happy with the results was also some sort of compliment.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Nah. But it was a little strange for you to make that post, and then delete it. Truth be told, I'd rather you just left it up.
