Question for the UL fans
I was reading an article this morning on your new stadium. Very nice btw. Anyhow, it said you had expanded to 55k and that you had sold over 40k season tickets. Does that include students as well? It just seems like 15K is a small number of tickets for students and visitors. The stadium looks great, and maybe things will start to get turned around on the field for you all.

~44,000 seats are open to the public for purchase as season tickets

~11,000 seats are held in reserve by UofL. Of those 11K,
- 5,500 tickets are reserved for opponents (NCAA requirement)
- 1,000 tickets are held by Jurich for charity causes (military, boys and girls club, etc)

That leaves 4,500 tickets unaccounted for in the stadium. Some tickets are reserved for players families, coaches families, recruits, faculty/employees, etc. I would guess that student tickets probably fall into the season tickets category but to be honest I don't know.

RE: Question for the UL fans
Student tickets are included in the number, when I attended UofL, we had to pay for our student tickets, but they were fairly cheap as I know at some schools, students get them for free. I believe there are about 7,000 to 8,000 student tickets included in the season ticket number.

For us you get free student tickets on a single-game basis but pay for season tickets as single game can go into lottery if its a good/Big East opponent or we're doing super well.

I suspect a large percentage of those tickets are reserved for corporations to use as perks for their clients and employees.
