Porter shows Youth National Team pipeline still has plenty of Zip.

The four top collegiate defenders in the country all on one team. Last year, Akron shattered the record for defensive efficiency in the NCAA, and they will be even better this season.

I envy that program. I hope that NIU can continue to build theirs up and compete with the Zips in the long run.

it is truly amazing what the akron soccer team is able to do year in and year out... every mid major program should emulate their model of success.

I was just about to post the link.

Good to see a MAC program getting the press that goes along with building a very successful program. I'd love to see everything come together for the Zips this year.

Agreed, i would love to see a double bid by the MAC for the College Cup 04-rock You guys play great futbol!

As long as it isn't with those Hartwick Thugs! 05-mafia Must admit i take personal joy when we beat them year after year. 03-nutkick But if it gets any rougher the MAC/NCAA may have to take action....... and some still say soccer isn't a contact sport 03-lmfao
