I get a bunch of emails every time this happens :-)
This won't make the folks at Microsoft happy, but I'm going to uninstall the beta of IE 9 or go to Safari.
The double posting started when I 'upgraded' to IE 9. IE 9 is fast, etc. but it flat out is a problem on the website.
It has been a royal pain to delete the double posts.

Impressive. Looks short but very strong and a very good tackler.
34 reps is a lot for a LB or for any position.

It would be great if he was 6'3...
But I'll take 6'0 and can tackle any day.
Let's not forget Holtzclaw was considered short too

There's the 6'3 linebacker we were looking for, LoL.
Who knows if either of these guys can play (I certainly am hoping they can), but I'm just glad to see that they're not landing the 6'1 190lbs linebackers

Unfortunately, I'm back to work today (after being off for almost a week with a bunch of 'use or lose' leave so I won't be Googling all day).
It would be a good Google project.

Both have good size and speed. They will fill a need.
I don't show Poole having any other offers.
Kurtz had another MAC offer Kent St and a few non Div I offers.
Hopefully we don't have any clearinghouse issues.

RE: 2011 FB Verbals Thread
Just found out that supposedly there is another Cali-fornia JUCO verbal, Bryan Pali, S from the same So. Cali area as the two LBs.
I'll try to Google.
BTW, I understand that Kinsman Thomas' younger brother is in school at EMU. So I assume we can count him in the '11 list (i.e., he'll receive a scholarship if he becomes eligible after spring semester).
This could be why English indicated 20 scholarships to give. Some could be obligated to sitouts, transfers, grayshirts, walkons, etc. including Thomas, Parker, etc.
As I have been posting, I'm preferential to kids who get to sitout a year or at least do spring semester before playing. Kids can get stronger, learn the system, adapt to college life and what it means to be a student-athlete.
I'm hoping that a lot of these kids including the two JUCO LBs, Pali, Parker, Strange (?), etc. get to do spring ball.
The big question for most is do they have to pay their own way for spring semester?

1). Watson, TE Illinois,
2). Parker, OL Illinois,
3). Pollard, DB, UCLA (transfer sitout).
4). X, DB, Cali JUCO (completing his associate's degree this fall).
ADDING: 5) Marcus Penn (see below)
ADDING (9/16) Mike Marrow (Alabama)
We're starting to fill a number of scholies but this seems like a GOOD thing.
There will competition for scholarships at certain positions, which encourages recruits to verbal early.
Let's see if I have this list pretty much up to date:
1). Watson,
2). Parker, Garrett
3) Penn, Marcus
4) Marrow
5). Pollard
6) Thomas (Kinsman's younger brother, if eligible)
7) Iannotti
8) Strange
9). Poole
10). Kurtz
11). Pali, Bryan (latest, a S from a SoCal JUCO)
12). Cody Kater (trans. from Cincy Bearcats)
13). Taylor (CB, KR Cali JUCO)
I count 13 newcomers (not counting the frosh who were redshirting).
If all works well, 2/3s of these will be on campus for spring semester and can do spring ball (obvious exception the h.s. kids + Thomas).

RE: 2011 FB Verbals Thread
Looking at that list, I can see why I'm so optimistic for the offense in '11.
About 1/2 dozen OL redshirting, Benz QB, Marrow RB, Parker could play as a frosh after spring ball, Watson might be strong enough to play as a frosh, if needed. (add a few WRs + a RB and that is an entire unit)
[I'd suspect that English wants to add 4 more offensive recruits. If they are RB or WRs they could contribute in '11.]
The newcomers, themselves, could probably compete as a unit in the MAC. :)
BTW, someone else mentioned to me that Benz is going to be 'really good'.
We WILL score a lot of points in '11. This is my "New Year's Prediction"...

Yeah, I'm fairly optimistic about the offense for the next couple years, much more concerned about how the defense will look.

RE: 2011 FB Verbals Thread
I might mention that English will have a VERY large group of new kids who could see the field in Sept.
I'd guess say more then a dozen redhsirts, plus a couple transfers, plus a few grayshirts, plus some JUCO defenders, plus some h.s. kids who have the ability to step in (e.g., most like RB, WR, etc.).
I can see close to 25 newcomers on a team which only had what 14 seniors.
The only area which hasn't been addressed with newcomers is the DL.
Do remember as far as JUCOs: English has apparently concentrated hardest on those who can enroll at midyear.
There is a distinct possibility that some JUCO DLs will sign in Feb.
Lot of recruiting left to do.
