Joe Cole isnt a dirty player, but he's lucky that he didn't break Koscielny's leg.

Does anyone know why van Persie and Fiberglass started on bench for SCUM?

Probably still resting from World Cup.

So they are being ******* while Dirk Kuyt is manning up. About right for the Gooners.

Yea, that was a tough one for Pepe.

To be honest, neither team looked that great. They do have better things ahead for them with many players not playing or only making cameos. This first week so far has shown that the league is split at the top with Chelsea & Man U(I'm assuming) and then Spurs, SCUM, Scousers, and Man City fighting for those last 2 CL spots. After that, the gap is huge to the next level of teams(B'ham, Fulham, Everton, Villa)

Surprised there's been no mention of Stuart Holden's 90 minutes for Bolton and his gong off the post.

He played really well, and is going to be my first transfer of the year.

He was impressive against Osusana(sp?) in preseason as well. We need him to develop into a solid wing option for 2014. With our lack of strikers, it would be nice to put one up top with Donovan withdrawn, Dempsey and Holden on the wings with Bradley and Edu/Torres in central midfield.
