Agreed. I do wish he had left a little more gracefully though, yet he proved last year he could still play.

On a side note, and to have a little fun with this, what's more likely?

Memphis to the BE, or Brett Favre stays retired?

I agree. I won't consider it a final decision until Week 1 comes and he doesn't suit up.

Maybe he just wants to save himself some travel. He might just meet the rest of the team in New Orleans, since he's already nearby.

RE: Favre to Retire
Would've been a bad day to fight for air time... I'm sure that's why the Big East isn't going to reveal a Memphis invitation.

I think Favre really missed out on an ESPN "The Indecision" Special

RE: Favre to Retire
Considering he would make $13 million for basically 4-5 months of work that is pretty damn good money to pass on. The way his contract was structured the Vikings still owe him $4 million to be paid in 2011 so he might finally be willing to go out to pasture.

No way Favre is retiring. I was at the Vikings Store at the Mall of America a little over a month ago and a kid in there told me he heard an internet rumor that Favre wanted to come back so that he could beat the Saints. Sounded pretty legit to me.

RE: Favre to Retire
People, Favre has not said anything about retiring. This is just media b.s. He might, but this is not the announcement.

He's 'retiring' from training camp and the preseason. Once it's time to kickoff for real, he'll be there.

Yeah, but did you hear it on the radio in Kentucky? That's when you know it's legit.

Yea, all those superstar qb's in the NFL from Toolame have just torn the league up. Lets see, Ramsey, Losman and King. How is their Hall of Fame status going. Hopefully some Viking defender will take Brees out like the Saints took Favre out with their cheap shots. Karma is a *****.

So Duper, are you and your other 200 Wave fans ready for another awesome year of Greenie football. Are you guys going to overachieve this year and win two or three games? That Toledo is just one awesome head coach. Yes sir, those pics of 400 fans in the Superdome at Wave games is just great for CUSA. Thanks so much.

yeah are yall going to make it back to the new orleans bowl... again, you know, the bowl you keep going too, even tho you fired your old coach cause thats pretty much all he was doing. yeah, tulane sucks... big whoop. my prob is with favre, who people still hold on to his tit like his is some god. guy is a drama queen who yes, still is a good qb, but acts as if he is a 16 year old girl.
