Think whatever you want, but baseball epitomizes our culture and history moreso than football.

I still think baseball is a solid 2nd behind football. To me, baseball seems to have definitely (sadly given my love for it) gone past its prime and I do expect its popularity to decrease a lot in coming years, but it's not there yet, and it will always be significant. If I knew that either football or baseball would be gone in 300 years, I'd actually guess football. Baseball just has a timelessness to it and to our culture that I can't see ever completely going away. With that said, it's significance at the college level doesn't even warrant mention compared to basketball and football outside of the south.

Take me out to the ball game...

Look, these rankings are for ***** and giggles only. Everyone has their own point system and they will all produce different results.

We all know schools like Texas, LSU, and Florida have won national titles in at least 2 of the 3 sports since 2000 so all will be ranked near the top of any list. But the rank-order is subjective and arbitrary.

The one with all sports is the Sears Directors Cup...but it rates rifling as high as the big three along with some other goofy sports, so I don't know how credible the Directors Cup can be taken. Stanford wins it alot, but thats because of water polo, mens volleyball, etc, etc.

baseball is dying.

Soccer outdraws baseball in some parts of the country.
