To me, Cristano Ronaldo is the most disappointing international star to play on his national team. His club performance also lets me say this as well. I do know that they their are two or other three stars that have played bad as well, but he has Deco and a couple of other stars who could have helped him advance further in the end.

Ronaldo doesn't seem to be diving as much, and he's definitely been given a few opportunities. 1-0 lead for Portugal on a great goal.

Yikes 7-0. North Korea must have spent all their energy against Brazil.

The Ivory Coast needs to inflict similar damage on North Korea if they want to have any hope of advancing.

Meanwhile, this ref in the Chile-Swiss game is a little trigger happy. No way that deserved a red card. And he already issued 4 other yellows in the first.

I would doubt it. I beleive that Brazil dropped 8 on someone in 2006, but I'm not sure.

I'm pretty sure during the Portugal-North Korea broadcast the announcer said there have been three 9 goal games and three 8 goal games in WC history

So what would have to happen for Spain not to qualify, if they lose their next game by the standings as it is in their group is right now?

If Spain loses, and Switzerland either wins or ties, then the neutrals go through and Spain goes home. That would really screw up my bracket!

I'm really looking forward to the Spain vs. Chile match-up. Should be a good one.

I am going to one up one with this one TMcCarty. What will be the final score of Brazil versus Portugal in the final game for both teams considering the Portugese need win a tie or win to advance, even though los samba boys do not play for anything.
