why would you want to deal with Texas legislators, ADs, Presidents? I woulnd't touch them. They are drama queens from hell. If some of you guys can't stomach ND's partial membership then how could you stomach those drama queens from Texas?

if tcu were so important to the texas legislators, they'd have pushed for them in the big 12 or supposed pac 16.

The only thing they do is help with the BCS rating system. They add nothing in terms of money with their small, apathetic fanbase. This isn't Utah, BYU or Boise where they clearly have a decent number of fans who care an awful lot. If that's why we need to expand then UCF and ECU are the direction we should be looking.

You hit on the thing that bothers me as a FAN who actually puts his a$$ in the seat and loves to travel to see his team perform. These expansions are TV driven and the schools end up so far apart that you have to take a damn vacation to see an away game. Can you honestly say that you would go to Texas to see Rutgers play TCU?...Hell no..and I have the same problem being in CUSA. It is more spread out than a crack whore looking for a 8ball... It makes no sense to me at all. I know damn well that I would travel to almost ALL of the BE venues over a couple of seasons.04-cheers

Exactly, Florida will require a flight but Tampa and Orlando are easy enough and cheap enough to get to, to make that trip sometimes. ECU we could definitely drive to for the weekend, Temple I can take the train down for the day, Memphis for us northeasterners would require a flight but since Memphis and LGA/JFK are both Delta hubs we can get an easy, cheap flight there to make the trip sometimes (ok the bbq and the blues would necessitate it all the time.)
