Louisville and UConn were announced as 2 of the 16 host sites for the NCAA baseball tournament starting next week. I have to believe 2 hosts is a first for the Big East.

The full field and the 8 national seeds will be announced tomorrow. UofL is likely a national seed and UConn probably will be the only #2 seed hosting. Being a 1 vs. 2 will make a difference, as the #1 seed at the Norwich regional will likely be playing Central Connecicut St as a #4, and the #3 will likely be a decent mid-level team from a top league.

St John's earned a spot by beating UConn 3-0 down in Clearwater today. Pitt has a little hope but is probably out when they announce the field tomorrow.

Hey, thanks for the info. I am sure hoping UofL gets one of the top 8 seeds. It's nice to have three BEast teams in. I think they could make a little noise too. Anything short of Omaha will be disappointing for the Cards.

Great job by St. Johns. I have to think that the Big East getting three teams in the regionals is fantastic.

I think 2007 was the year that Rutgers, St. Johns and Louisville made it in.

Miami never played baseball in the Big East.

They kept baseball independent during their BE membership? Who do they think they are, Notre Dame?
