Greetings
Hello everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking for about a year now and finally decided to jump on board.

My family have always been fans of the Chattanooga Mocs and thus I pay tribute to that in my name here; but I've lived in metro Atlanta for 5 years and have attended both UT-Chattanooga and Kennesaw State... in July I'll get my degree from KSU and will be a season-ticket holder for the basketball team. My wife and I bought a house in Acworth last summer.

I have some questions, comments, etc... but decided to just introduce myself as I get accustomed to the board.

Oh, and by the way, when ETSU was in the Southern Conference their biggest rivals were Chattanooga... so I was raised thinking that Buc fans were followers of the Devil... so I apologize in advance for my apparent hatred of all things Johnson City.

I like this new Owl fan!

Welcome to the board, MocOwl.

So MocOwl - when we play Chattanooga here on Nov. 16 who are you pulling for?

GFWO, do you know of the Chattanooga game only? Or do you have the whole schedule? It'd be awesome to know. The only game I'm sure of is the Tech game at home. I'd love to know who else we're playing.

Escalade2121 - I don't always agree with everything you say on this board (Spencer needs to shoot more?) and that is natural, but I also know you are a huge fan so I'll give you some snippets. I met with coach Ingle last week and he gave me the schedule:

at Alabama State - Nov. 20
at Iowa State - Nov. 24
at Creighton - Nov. 26
at Fordham - Dec. 22
at Wyoming - Dec. 28

Ouch, that one will certainly suck for me. Since none of you know me (yet) then you don't know how much I enjoy letting the refs know how incredibly terrible they usually are... I'll likely attempt to focus on the refs that game.

Thanks for the snippet GFWO, I'm just an armchair coach here on my computer barely out of college so I understand not agreeing with everything I say. Ingle and the staff know much better than I do what to do with the team.

Welcome MocOwl. Understandable that you would have some mix allegiances somewhere down the line, I think we all do, but good to know that you love the Owls and hate the Bucs. Our program is getting to a point where we can compete with anyone in the league...hopefully next year will be a big year for us.

Thanks to everyone for the welcome. It's odd to support two teams in similar conferences, but as a child I only missed 4 Chattanooga home games from the ages of 0-20 and my family have always been huge Mocs... so I can't disrespect my father's memory by totally abandoning them... and I was the drum major at Chattanooga for a year and a member of the pep band... however as a resident of Acworth and alum of both Chattanooga and soon to be Kennesaw... I'm a Moc and an Owl.

Hopefully Kennesaw won't move into the Southern Conference because then I'd have so major problems, but as long as it's only every so often the two play, I think I'll be okay...

At least I'm not like so many of our KSU students who feel conflicted when Kennesaw plays Georgia or Georgia Tech in sports... I mean, I root for the Dawgs to do well in the fall and all... but when it comes to one on one I hope Kennesaw stomps 'em.

Like I said, I have a lot of questions and things I'm sure many on this board will love to talk about... but I wanted to get off a good start and not sound like a complainer. 04-cheers

BTW... I remember at one point there being a place to buy season tickets online... but now on the web site the ticket section is a 404 code and all I can find that you can print is for the 100 club (someday, but not today) -- does anyone know where the form to buy season tickets is?

Wow - I started my college career many years ago at Creighton, and still pull for them, but ended my career at KSU. That's around Thanksgiving - maybe I need to take the family back to Nebraska to see our relatives and be very likely the only fans in KSU gear in Omaha.

It should be interesting and a good trip for you to take. I am a TRUE fan and I'll see you there dressed in my gear also!
