Meant to be an SEC replacement in years not enough teams to play CUSA (my comment: perhaps vacating the St. Pete bowl), but could be SEC v. BE

Not likely that SEC fills its spot every year. Odds are CUSA is in it every year. I wouldn't be suprised to see BE in it 2 of 4 years.

I'm ok with this. Playing the CUSA champ is better than the International or St Pete bowls of years past.

Not a fan of traveling to Memphis for a bowl game. Been there several times, not my favorite place. I know the Liberty Bowl is historic, but I really do not see all the hoopla about playing in that particular game.

Yes, Memphis is far more attractive than Birmingham. What sucks is that we'll almost always play a C-USA team, not an SEC team.

MAC is the backup for the Papa John's Bowl.

BE vs cusa liberty
BE vs sec papa

sec has had 10,9,8,10

I was talking about the Liberty deal. By my understanding, the BE is a replacement for the SEC should the SEC not fill its slot, so odds we can only play an SEC once every 4 years, and then only if the SEC makes its quota that year.
