RE: Let's Play What If
I would automatically reject Baylor (Ann Richards isn't in the picture anymore), Iowa State, Wyoming and San Diego State. This would make a very strong 12 team league. But that won't happen. If anything, the Big 12 teams that stay put will bring IN members instead of going some place else. Remember, they're the ones with the bcs affiliation not the mwc.

could the MWC kick out Wyoming and San Diego State since they're currently members?

RE: Let's Play What If
What we most likely will see when the dust settles is that Nebraska will go to the Big 10 and Texas A&M will go to the SEC. With Texas, Texas Tech, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma and Oklahoma St going to Pac 10. Leaving Missouri, Iowa St, Kansas St and Baylor. Many think these teams may join what is left over from the Big East. However i feel that after the addition of Boise St, that if the MWC would add these four then it would be in position to claim the former Big 12's automatic BCS bid. I just have a gut feeling that if this came about and the BCS didn't award the automatic bid to the MWC, that Sen Hatch would finally have had enough and he would take action in congress against the BCS. I still think the whole deal is about the BCS conferences attempting to eliminate competition from the non BCS conferences by combing their stronger programs and eliminating some of the weaker. That in the end it is likely there will be only 4 automatic bids. But if there are more than 4 automatic bids, that adding the left overs from the Big 12 will put the MWC in the catbird seat when it comes to acquiring an automatic bid..

San Jose State offers nothing to a new league; they offer little to the WAC
