I go to college in Chicago and my school is NAIA our rivals who are literally right next to us are they are starting a football program. So if a school in chicago can start a football program maybe ETSU should also play football in NAIA but still have all other sports in NCAA Div 1.

You could just have non scholarship football in Division I.

Divison I status doesn't allow for football outside the Division, only to play at non-scholarship FCS, as Fan1 pointed out.

I think that could be a good re-entry point for ETSU to get back into the game. It certainly beats what we have now---nothing. Of course, that would take some leadership to get it done.

Interesting to see that Bluefield College is kicking around the idea of starting a football program back up.
