I know club sports don't usually get a whole lot of coverage in these forums, but I thought it was worth mentioning that Kennesaw State's mens lacrosse club will play in the South Eastern Lacrosse Conference Championship (Div. 2) today at 12:00pm at Northview High School. They will play against Elon.

KSU went 13 - 3 during the season and finished in 2nd place in their division behind Tennessee Wesleyan. KSU beat North Florida (15 - 5) and SCAD (10 - 9) to get to the championship. Another win today could mean a lot for the growth of the club, but Elon has a very tough team.

KSU falls to Elon 12 - 10. We definitely kept it close throughout most of the game, but it just doesn't enough. It's still a big accomplishment for the program to have made it to the championship.

Welcome to the boards Colbi. I'm not really a lacrosse guy but its good to see Kennesaw doing well (even in a club sport).

Thanks! I have been visiting these boards for awhile now, but just decided to register. I am a big KSU club sports fans, so if people are interested in those particular sports at all I am happy to post some updates from time to time.

Lacrosse is a pretty cool sport. It gets a rough rap in college athletics, because it is hard to field a scholarship LAX team and a scholarship football team due to Title IX, but I wish it got a better chance. One of the few unfortunate consequences of Title IX. Good to see our guys doing well.
