How well has each school done in conference since realignment?
Here is my system for ranking schools in terms of how each has done in the conference. Before I explain my rankings, let me preface by saying that no ranking system is perfect. First, half of the conference does not play football (one of the two major NCAA sports) which makes an overall comparison difficult. Second, no conference member currently sponsors every conference sport. In fact, different schools sponsor different numbers of Big East sports. This complicates ranking as one could argue that a school that wins titles in 5 out of 12 sponsored sports is doing better (percentage wise) than a school that wins 6 out of 16 sponsored sports. On the other hand, the school with 6 titles could argue it is doing better as it has more total titles than a school with 5 titles.

I am going to set those issues aside and simply do a total title ranking using a value weighted metric. Titles in major sports (men's basketball and football) will be weighted more heavily than titles in minor/regional sports (baseball, lacrosse, women's sports, etc). All information came from the main Big East website except for football championships (which is not listed on the Big East championships page). Also note that I awarded teams full points even if they were co-champion (e.g. WVU and UConn both received 5 points for sharing a football title).

5 point for each of the following
- Big East Football Champion
- Big East Men's Basketball Regular Season Champion
- Big East Men's Basketball Tournament Champion

1 point for each of the following
