I don't know that it's been dozen years. I remember my sophomore year (Huggs last season)... The student section was packed full pretty much every game. Hell the big games people were still camping out and it was really hard to get a ticket... demand was crazy for big games...but the section was full for most other games.

Students left after that... sadly. I wish the students came out in full still.

As far back as when we were going to a final four and elite eights when I was there, if it wasn't a big ESPN game, you could swing a dead cat around by the tail and not hit anyone. Since I've been a season ticket holder in the years since, I have paid attention and its been a long running sore spot. Student support has sucked for a long time.

I remember Huggins going on a rant about attendance for the game. He even uttered the "infamous" line that if they didn't want to come to the games that "F- them". I thought it was great, but the media got their panties in a wad over it.

And that was when Kenyon was tearing up the world. Students must have been waiting to watch a good team night in and night out.

Historically, the student support for UC basketball is weak as hell. Lots of sold out games in the glory years where half of the student section was sold to the general public the day before the game.
