Not only did we make the tournament as an
at large team, but a #11 seed. Middle was a #10. Having two teams in from our league is outstanding, but to have them both with pretty good seedings is even more outstanding. Maybe the Mike Newell curse, which has extended to both men and women's teams, is finally lifted. Now all we have to do is get the men's program moving in the right direction.04-cheers

Middle Tennessee had a large crowd (1000+) at the Embassy Suites and when UALR's at-large bid was announced there was a lot of cheers and applause.

Middle is a credit to our league. To be right up there with them is a credit to how far we've come. I would expect that rivalry to grow as long as the two coaches remain at those schools. Both are outstanding.04-cheers
