it's ridiculous. Especially considering how strong the BE is vs. the ACC. Big mistake, in my view.

And yet - i'm not surprised at all.

the two seeds are now going to be the news. If WVU goes south-- I like that.

I expected Duke to get a #1 seed. They are the 'name brand' school, and voters don't know how to act if it isn't a 'name brand'. That's okay. I just hope Duke's going to have to go through WVU...

Syracuse is the host of the East Regional so by rule they cannot play there. No conspiracy, just a rule.

They'll have to go through another BEast school to get to WVU, if they're in the same bracket. That could be too much for them to overcome, especially if it's Villanova, Georgetown, or Pitt...

I know, but what i was asking was why Duke got the South #1 and not SYR?

SYR gets the first two games in Buffalo before going out west.
Good enough for me.

Well alright, if it's ok with you SYR fans.

To me, WVU and SYR have a special responsibility to advance far in this tourney. When you are a #1 seed or BE tourney champ, you carry the banner for the conference and if you lose early, it hurts the reputation. Have to advance to at least the elite 8 or else it looks bad for all of us.

WVU's going all the way, and I almost hope Duke is standing in our way when we get to the Final Four. I'd prefer that UofL take care of 'em in round 2. But if not, I'd love to see the Mountaineers put another tourney beat down on 'em... 05-mafia

Personally, I think that when you win the regular season you have the first responsibility to advance in the conference tournament. But I don't remember Gtown helping us out here in this area. Do you?
