It's funny a MTSU fan started this thread. I know they traveled pretty well and when you have a larger group the chances of having a few douches around increase.

I talked with fans from every school except for the Florida schools and all were class acts. Meet 2 great fans from Denver who are probably the best in the Belt. They traveled to every school in the conference over the years and said they only had problems w/ MTSU fans. I'm not here bashing MTSU , because y'all too had some super nice fans that I meet.

All I'll say is it takes a certain breed of douchness to even start something like this. You are no better than whoever pissed you off. We all have fans that we aren't proud of , it's human nature.

Best of luck to the MTSu & UALR ladies ( they should get a at large) & the Troy men and I'm also holding out hope for a wKu NIT or CBI bid. I'll be rooting for them all. GO BELT !!

All in all , this is a great conference with some great fans.. Now let's just start bringing more friends and family to these types of events

I disagree. I think it was a success. The poll had 20 votes thats about how many posters regularly post here.

Troy's getting too much crap right now. They're making history in their basketball program and someone mentioned a disparaging comment from the Haven. So what? If the Haven weren't a closed forum I'm sure they would have directed their comment to the actual posters.
Right now Troy is up in football and basketball. Most of them handle that fine. A few brag too much - those guys will have to deal with it when someone else is on top.

haven has nothing to do with it. that sh!t should stop on THIS BOARD. 99% of the wku fans on THIS BOARD are reasonable posters. if you want to talk smack...there is a smack board. if you want to talk sh!t about stuff on a team's home board then be prepared to have posts by your biggest IDIOT POSTER and everyone has one from your home board 'copied and pasted' here.

you are also a more recent poster on this board and did not live through the troy arrogance all last summer about how they were a potential bcs buster and their disdain for any other football team.

there are some very realistic, good troy posters over here. paul of troy always brings it from a realistic view and it appears it keeps him in trouble with some of the other troy posters. i apologize to any of the sane posters for my idiocy. i try to control it but sometimes it leaks out.

the same stuff was done during the football season and when i called them on it one of the moderators (a troy fan) made the thread disappear because he looked bad in it.

i realize i'm as big a dick as the borracho from middle, i'm just more wordy than he is.

it's all good today. i'm pulling for troy in their nit game and will pull for unt big time in their ncaa game.

I was actually a moderator here a couple of years, so I know what you're referring to. Still, I'm always willing to let teams talk a little after a big win, and it didn't seem like over-the-top chest pounding to me.
Gotta say that the Haven has to take a little blame here. The rest of us are very unlikely to have our comments from our home boards posted here because our forums are open and allow for outsiders to respond there. The Haven doesn't give that to others, so the result is what happened here. I'm not saying that the Haven isn't perfect for your community, just that this situation is much more likely to happen to WKU fans than others.
