I was telling him that we aren't able to recruit many of our top players because they either go to Fayetteville, or to Ole Miss or Oklahoma State, or other out of state schools. He said that Minnesota always lost a lot of players to out of state schools, but since Tubby Smith arrived they're able to recruit their best in state players, plus highly rated players from out of state, that they weren't able to recruit before.

The point being made is that the right coach can recruit players that some others can't. We're obviously not going to hire a Tubby Smith, but there are probably coaches we can hire who can recruit really good mid major players to UALR that we haven't been able to recruit.
