RE: JCR - Here's this ...
Wonder what X's buyout is on his contract with KYU? I get the feeling he tried his damnedest to take enough recruits with him this year to have an undefeated season and win the NC too, then split when the NBA (and the NCAA) came calling. He knew he wanted to get back to the NBA, the only job he was ever fired at, but he wanted that college glory too. And he figured he had one year left to do it.

Hoopla, I can agree with most of that. If Cal, Lebron, Wall end up at the same place then all of this conjecture becomes reality. I have been and am still saying something's up beyond our control. The refs, the game plans, the tie, ... man,we did not land on the moon in the 70's for pete's sake. We are getting played.

I love those 'little somethings' you leave, Andy. Reminds me of the ESPN board days. I couldn't resist leaving a little deposit myself.

He would have had a better shot at winning the title this year if he had stayed in Memphis.

This has been around several weeks now. Thing is, Cal did nothing wrong, only the school. It was during a period when coaches could watch and speak to players.

Yes, he would, BUT... the NCAA was coming down and he knew it. He also figured most likely a much more severe penalty, even death perhaps. No way he was wasting that much talent in a place where he couldn't use it to his benefit.
