that we know of? He's certainly a proven coach, and although he didn't stay long at Kentucky due to some problems, he's been a winner wherever he coached. I would think that some good program who are down would be interested in a coach like him.04-cheers

He will be courted for some jobs that will open up. Many schools obviously don't care about a coach or a players backgrounds, if they can win. He's been a winner.

While I'm sure he'll be looking forward to getting back into coaching, I'd imagine he's still being paid by Kentucky for a few more years, he can probably afford to be pretty picky when it comes to his next gig. Not saying he wouldn't go to a UALR(or any Sun Belt team for that matter) but he could definitely afford to pass on a job IF he wasn't thrilled to take it.

I was thinking he'd be offered a BCS job with his resume. I wasn't even considering he'd ever come to UALR.04-cheers

There have been many successful coaches from big-time programs that have come to mid-major programs, and some of their former teams helped pay the salary. Wimp Sanderson, John Brady, Kermit Davis, Mike Jarvis, Lou Henson, Bill Musselman, and Hugh Durham come to mind right off the top of my head, and the press guides. That's just the ones that have come through the Sun Belt that I'm aware of.

I'd be shocked if he got a BCS job- but I guess there are bottom feeder BCS jobs (like USF when Stan got there) that I think of more like midmajors, that he might get. I see him ending up at a Conference USA type school. Sun Belt type school wouldn't shock me, however.

He may not, but I wouldn't bet against him Mickey. Winning is the only thing that counts at a lot of schools. And I don't know anything about him, other than I've read he might like the sauce a little too much, and he evidently isn't fond of the glad handing that schools like Kentucky want.

Fayetteville could probably get him this time around.

I doubt Fayetteville wants him. Couple DWI's, fired from UK. No thanks.
