"Championship Week"
What a week for EMU hoops!! Too bad the students aren't in school. It isn't just about the men... 04-cheers

1). Women have a big game vs. UT Tuesday. An EMU win and Akron loss gives EMU a first round bye. EMU vs. UT would be great any time but esp. the last game of the regular season.

2). The really, really big men's game Thursday vs CMU. Most anticipated home game since probably the game vs. Cal and Ben Braun way back when.

3). Assuming EMU doesn't beat UT OR Akron doesn't lose, EMU's women host probably WMU Sunday to start the women's MAC tourney.

I think there will be a little bit of 'synergy' with the men and women both peaking headed to the MAC tourney... 03-cloud9

RE: "Championship Week"
man is EMU pulling out the stops for the game Thursday.

I get the e-mails from the athletic departments and they are offering reduced price tickets, hot dogs and sodas, and I hear inviting high school teams.

They're having dinner in the 'Eagle's nest' before the game for boosters and season ticket holders.

EMU is promoting like crazy and has an important game.

Only wish the students were in school.

BTW, is this really a 6:30 game? (was it moved up a 1/2 hour for TV or something?).
