A-Sun 2009-2010 Regular Season co CHAMPIONS!!


I know it wasn't on the circumstances we were hoping for but this has been one of our more successful seasons. Expectations aside, I think we should celebrate just a little bit at the accomplishment of this team.



....now we can all return to our typical pessimism.

They really need some sort of tie breaker when FOUR teams are flying a championship banner (36% of the league). Regardless though, congrats on the quality conference record.

If we don't lose to Stetson earlier this year, we are also champs. It's crazy to think that 5 teams could have been conference champs.

We had a good season but it was disappointing to me. We had the talent to be in first place by ourselves.

I my opinion the only game we should have lost this year was to VT. The other games we were as good if not better than the other teams.

Longwood - How do you lose to those guys?

We have a good season though and I am proud of the team and I hope we can put together 3 wins in the tournament.

Right now we are the 4th seed. We were the 5th seed last year with a lot worse record. We may be tied but we lost more to the teams we were tied with than we won or we woudl be the 1st seed.

The tournament will prove who the best team is. Sharing a title with 3 other teams does not mean to much to me.

If we didnt lose to LU at the buzzer at home, we would be champs all by ourselves. But seeing that we have never won a conf reg season title(shared or not), Ill take it.

Not to invade your board, but I think several other teams have similar thoughts. If we hadn't got swept by Florida Gulf Coast and been beat by UNF in a game that had an overall point total of only 88 points, we would have easily been in first place. It's heartbreaking to think about these things especially when a douche such as Slater pulls off some miraculous shot like he did against you guys, but hey, at least it was a loss against a formidable opponent.

I'm looking forward to seeing your matchup against ETSU. You guys showed them a thing or two about basketball the last time you played, but we'll see how this one pans out. Could be a good matchup, or it could be another dagger in the back of ETSU's falling athletic program.
