Canada and USA are now 1-1 in Hockey but they get the gold.... Weird deal and I have to agree with TOGC, let me know when they win a relevant sport.

Good for Canada. That game meant so much to them and didn't mean crap to 90% of America. Not sure why people like the OP enjoy making fun of Canada. From what I have heard/read/seen on tv it's a damn good country.

I appreciate hockey much more for having watched that game. I'm much more a fan of the game now than ever before. Hopefully, this will be the effect across the US.

God how I love the close mindedness os some Americans. Thanks for making us look good. Have you ever stepped foot in Canada? Spend a day in Vancouver or Toronto, or in some of the vast open areas and get back to me.

While I agree that it will have little to no affect on the preception of hockey here, much like the World Cup in men's and women's soccer, hockey is a great sport. NHL playoff games are some of the most intense sporting events there are. It's just not for everyone.

Agreed. I'm not a hockey nut. Heck, I rarely see a game but having watched these games and that one in particular I could see myself watching more. A game that represents itself that well deserves a little respect. It's still not for everyone but I like it more than I did
