Thanks for posting this.

WhataBurger on Frayser Blvd. slightly west of N Watkins. I used to eat at the one on Millbranch in Whitehaven years ago.

I ate at the new WhataBurger in Southaven on Goodman Rd. not long after it opened to long lines.

Didn't seem to taste as good as they did back in the day.

Glad you appreciated that. I have fond memories of my father taking me to the Frayser location for a burger. I remember asking him once why the burgers were so huge, and of course he replied, "Everything's big in Texas."

Lyceum Theatre, 64 North Second St., Memphis TN - Circa 1930

The Lyceum was opened in 1894 by H.L. Brinkley on the southeast corner of Second and Jefferson after an earlier building burned down the previous year. It featured vaudeville and repertory companies and around 1917 it was the first large theater to show movies regularly when it was leased to Loew's Inc., for a period. By the 1930s, sports and revues, like the "Syncopated Steppers & Beauty Chorus" featured on the marquee, were its primary fare until it was demolished in 1935.

Yep .... out Summer Ave. across the street from the Summer Twin Drive-In.
In the former Motel there. I used to eat a Meat & Two plate lunch there in their Restaurant.

That Motel was boarded up for a few years. I think someone bought it & is trying to improve the property.

I miss that place, they had some pretty good food. We would go there on a Friday or Saturday evening. I would get their oyster bienville, man they were good. There was always this little old lady that ran the cash register when you paid your Bill.
