Arkansas Democrat Gazette: Arkansas Still Alive For At Large Bid
The Arkansas Democrat Gazette has released this news bulletin:
"In spite of the fact that the team went into the game at LSU tonight with a #124 ranking in the RPI and lost to a team that was winless in the SEC with an RPI of #217, there is every reason to believe that Arkansas can still get an At Large bid to the NCAA tournament if they win a few more games down the stretch."
Of course, only the delusional fans of the Chickenhawgs, and some of the equally delusional writers, especially the Sports Editor, actually believe the above dribble. The reality is that at this point, the Chickenhawgs will need a hail mary to even get into much consideration for the NIT.
It's unbelievable what crap is written in our local sports page.

Common PTJR, they only lost to LSU by 11 and it was on the road (forget the fact they were down 23 with 8 minutes left). They just need to get on a little hot streak down the stretch.

I am not rooting against U of A but no team that has had a year like they have had should be in the tournament without a run to the finals. That team really would have a had time selling me on the nit.

Agreed. I think they've got to win out and lose in the SECT final to have a chance at the NIT.
But the Razorback nation is still passionate about the program. Enough so that they fill the airwaves after a loss. Trojan nation - not so much.

Sad but true. However, the few fans that we do have seem to be in better touch with reality about their team than the Chickenhawg Nation.

Trojan fandom is a weak " meme" and has been since the Newell days. I know several people who are knowledgable of Trojan Sports but you would not know they are fans because their Facebook and car bumpers are 100% UAF.

Absolutely nothing wrong with being a fan of more than one program. I wish more fans of the program in Northwest Arkansas were as realistic and knowledgeable as you are about what goes on outside their little myoptic bubble. Just reality.
