I said before the season that our success or failure would be determined by how we did in close games. As we know last year we won them. This year we have lost 7 conference games by 5 points or less. Was Svelte Mike worth 5 points a game? I tend to believe he was.

But if he played, others who scored in those games might not have scored as much or at all, so we'll really never know what might have happened. But we can always rationalize.

I'd agree with MJS. With Mike I say we add at least five more points a game. Easily. And give up about 5 points less, at least.

Absolutely! We have dropped off drastically after Mike, especially in terms of consistency.
