No doubt that my W/L guess will be closer than Doc's
Early in the year I guessed that we wouldn't win over ten, and Doc I believe had us pegged for 22 wins. Looks like I'm going to be closer than Doc by a mile. We'll have to win out, and one in the tourney to get to 10. We may not get to Doc's 22 by adding this years wins and next years wins together. Very sad our program has gotten to this shape.

I was in between. Not as pessimistic as you (but of course you were right) and not as delusional as Doc. I was thinking 14 wins, with the hope of 15 to get us over .500.

I definitely believed we had USA beat if Mike didn't go down. But looking at things now that win wouldn't have meant a hill of beans anyway. They are one spot out of last place in the East and lost tonight to MTSU by 27 after losing by 30 to WKU the game before. We may have been better than USA with Mike, but they simply are not a very good team either.

How early in the year was your prediction? I felt we were, at best, a .500 team based on what we lost and what we had coming back. Our early season losses didn't change my opinion much since we were playing pretty good OOC teams. Don't know when I finally realized this was going to be a very long year. I'm sure you beat me to it.

I admit I was delusional, but even I wasn't that delusional. Unless my memory is completely out of whack (which it could very well be), I predicted a finish with 16-18 wins and no worse than a 2nd place finish in the West. I think you mixed up my 2nd place finish with 22 games won. Even I wouldn't have predicted 22 wins. But I thought we'd do well. Never imagined this kind of season. It is sad.03-hissyfit

No doubt we beat USA if Mike doesn't get hurt. As far as my '10' guess, and it was a guess, in all honesty, it was sometime after the season began, maybe about the time Mike got hurt. I felt we be somewhere around .500 before Mike got hurt, but not any better even with him, and that depended on how he was playing at the beginning. I hadn't forgotten that he was suspended for a number of games last year, so he hadn't proven to me that he had completely changed, other than his body.

We'll never know for sure if we would have beaten USA or not, but Mike's attitude was great and he was playing at a high level. I don't think we would have been a lot better off if he had stayed well because our competition just has more talent in most cases. It's sad he had worked so hard to improve his body and his game, to have to end his college career like he did. Mike is a likeable young man and hopefully will carry what he learned this year throughout his life. I know we all wish him the best.04-cheers
