Wimps....buddy it was your home arena. If you allow 5,000 Cuse fans to buy tickets it is your fault. Do I think this stuff happened? Probably not...maybe one of the events but not all...me thinks he used his fictional prose class to good use.
There were numerous, numerous reports of bad behavior by Syracuse fans at this game, almost all related to public intoxication. Syracuse fans take advantage of a loose ticket policy by Georgetown but the behavior part is the bigger issue.
It is no secret that Syracuse fans drink to excess at these games and it is not a new phenomenon, going back to the days when the Penta Hotel in Midtown would roll out kegs in the lobby for Syracuse fans to fill up going out the door before a Big East tournament game.
If fans want to embaraass themselves in the Dome, that's one thing. Throwing objects at people in the hallways and pouring beer on families is another. If it continues, Georgetown should stop public sale of these seats as they did for the Duke game, and restrict all seats to students, alumni, and booster club members.

rare video of Gtown chicks guzzling down a few after a butt whippingby the SYR orange.
Look, Georgetown is an elite school. It attracts top students who are passionate about basketball but in a civilized way. We don't have the hordes of boorish frat-boy lets-all-get-plastered 'fans' like Syracuse. Not that i blame them, if you're stranded in Syracuse NY what else can you do but get plastered 24/7?

...as long as you know who your daddy is on the BB court.
Yes SYR is Gtown's BB daddy. And yes I have to say it because if Gtown asked their BB mommy who B their daddy- she probably have to say "I honestly don't rightly remember. This a$$ has been whipped by quite a few teams over the years." So I'm telling you son. We B your daddy fa sure.
P.S. say hello to VP Joe Biden for us. Tell him that Gtown is more elite than his alma mater law school- that would be SYR. See if he laughs.

In fact, he twice makes mention of people that spent "four years" at that institution, clearly indicating that his post is in reference to the alums. Syracuse students and grads are some of the most intelligent, passionate, and classy fans you'll find anywhere on the planet. The problem has always been the non-alum/townie fans. He's right that some do tend to drink to excess and are often quick to resort to profanity laced tirades at opposing fans (or anyone with the misfortune of being within earshot). Half of them never even went to college, let alone Syracuse. The problem with being a successful program is that anyone, anywhere (even in DC) can jump on the bandwagon and put on a Syracuse t-shirt. I honestly don't feel the need to defend some jerk just because we have the same taste in t-shirts. If what he claims happened actually occurred then I feel bad for the guy, but I highly doubt it was a fellow alum. I am sure of one thing though: Georgetown sucks.
I'n not saying it for sure happened as described. However, wouldn't fans wearing a SU shirt and attending a game in DC more than likely be an alum, or at least someone with a degree? I doubt they have many fans who are only high school grads in DC.
Also, my experience is that fans that live near the school and travel that type of distance for a weeknight game are more than likely either a student or someone fairly well off financially, i.e., not just a HS grad.
