Not particularly concerned my self. I think ASU has other issues to worry about than athletic revenue and I'm not convinced this realignment is going to touch the Sun Belt.
Well if you mean that the SBC = ASU, then you are probably right.
p.s. love the snarky little comment about FIU; or maybe i'm just paranoid.

You are paranoid. That's my stock smack talk aimed at UNT.

I just reread that thread.
Man we were ALL going at each other. LOL Good stuff.
Only one missing on it was Dahbeed.
Dahbeed doesn't tend to write checks the 'Toppers can't cash.

I didn't have ASU in my conference because they aren't great at any of the big sports, except basketball kinda.

Great basketball with UAB, WKU, Marshall, and UNT among other programs like Houston, SMU, MTSU, Troy, and Louisiana that would be consistently solid.
Great football with Troy, Marshall, FAU, Houston, SMU, Southern Miss, and MTSU being top teams (if this were to happen tomorrow).
Great baseball. Every program in this conference has pretty good baseball.
Too bad it won't happen.

WKU and MTSU not in the same Division (and funny that WKU is actually further West than MTSU)??

Tulsa is too far west, The 2 florida schools are too far south with little actual fan support, ECU, and Marshall are too far east, USA is too new, and Tulane is a private school that has had problems ever since katrina hit. ULM hurts for attendance and is last in athletic budget, so I'd pass on them and take the 2 tx private schools over them.
Theres my conference.

I know I'm not the only one to point out problems with your picks, but there are quite a few things in this that just don't make any sense to me. As someone else pointed out, it just doesn't make sense to not have MT and WKU in different divisions. Furthermore, MT is on a complete island in the division. Our closest divisional opponent is Southern Miss and their 430 miles away. Lastly, you say that every program in this conference has pretty good baseball, which is completely wrong if for no other reason than the fact that North Texas doesn't even play baseball.

And neither does SMU

Isn't this speculation getting old? If nothing else it's boring. Nobody's going anywhere for long time. Even if the PAC10, Big !2 or the Big !0 adds, I seriously doubt it will have an effect on the SBC or C-USA. If C-USA adds in the not-to-distant-future, it would no doubt be Troy and USA. JMHO.

Troy doesn't fit their model.
But as I've said before, unless Texas elects to blow up the universe by changing leagues, this time around ought to be pretty stable for the Belt and CUSA.

I really believe the Sun Belt Conf. is going to get stronger and better soon. No need for Troy, South, ULL to look elsewhere. UNT could probably do better in another league as they're so far away from some of the other conference schools. UNO is gone and Denver will likely fall out soon. Could be Georgia State may interested, but don't know if the conference would be.

A number of folks are "far away" from some of the other conference schools.
