Excellent Luncheon with Coach Foley Today
He spoke at the Downtown Tip Off Club. Due to last week’s cancellation due to weather, the Tip Off Club honored 4 high school players rather than there normal 2. There were 2 men and 2 women. One of the women has already signed with UALR and the other has been offered by four schools including Vandy and UALR.

Coach Foley was great in his presentation about the Lady Trojans and you felt like he was giving all the positives of the program and its direction and use it as a free chance to sell the program to the uncommitted lady. Coach was very entertaining. He mentioned that he was not trying to develop one team leader but wanted every lady on the team to strive to be a leader for their teammates. Heck if I were an unsigned recruit, after hearing Foley speak, I would want to commit now!

Coach Pelphrey was also at the meeting and I am sure he wanted to be there to make his presence known for 1 of the male high school students being honored, who according to Ray Tucker, is a 6’ 11” “small” forward.

It's not a UALR club, but rather a central Arkansas sports club. Lots of different speakers. Just happened that this week was Coach Foley.

I know Scribner was there but who was the other young lady. I remember last year Scribner was at the tip off function when Foley was the speaker prior to committing to play for us...maybe the other young lady will follow Scribner's footsteps.

Strange that a coach that isn't speaking would show up at an event like that. Pelphrey is really taking a risk at showing up at an event where a top player is present and not speaking . because he can't make contact with the athlete. (at least he isn't suppose to talk to him)

I think Coach Pelphrey wore dark sunglasses. Shouldn't be a problem.
