Yes. But that's your normal state after a UConn loss... 05-stirthepot

We gonna right one of the wrongs starting this Sat. Good luck Cincy 04-cheers
Right away. Make sure to come pat yourself on the back when you beat mighty UC at home so we can all have a good chuckle at your expense.

LOL. Beating Cincy is nothing to brag about, it is expected. It really is no big deal beating Cincy.

Now that you have told us how you feel about beating Cincy, now tell us how it feels to lose to them.

Funny, that's what Providence and Michigan are saying about UConn right now.

Yes, because historically that's always worked out so well for UConn. 05-stirthepot

Is it 4 of the last 6 years or 5 of the last 7 years that SU has knocked Uconn out of the BE tourney? I dont remember, but you are right, HomerHusky better be careful what he wishes for.

Do you honest think UCONN is fearful of good old Cuse? Please.... Bring it. Luck and refs don't go your way forever.

Really? Do you even watch both play? Apparently some CUSE fans agree with me too.

I dont know about luck but I heard we paid the refs a 10 year $100 million under the table deal. I think we got this ref thing locked up.

(02-11-2010 03:34 PM)frogman Wrote:  This is from the ESPN quote:

"The key word here is grant. Did Cahill grant the timeout before the possession changed hands? On replay it appeared he did not. This was a judgment call. But the official said if it was too close to call then the officials must go to the alternating possession arrow. "

The truth is he did "grant" the timeout before the possession changed hands although he blew the whistle after the possession changed hands. How- you might ask. He rolled back the clock to the point when he should have called the time out. He rolled back the clock and the shot never happened and the block never happened and the change of possession never happened. The play stopped when the clock stopped and the clock (once it was rolled back) was stopped as Jardine drove to the basket. How many times has a team made a basket and it not count because the coach called a TO? HAd jardine hit the shot it would not have counted.

He was slow on the whistle but Boeheim was quick to callt he TO and he had one left. As I pointed out earlier, if you look at the tape, Boeheim called the timeout when Rautins slipped. Boeheim called the final two TO's of the game for SYR. You can't give him one and not give him the other. The ref made the mistake of not blowing his whistle sooner.

Either way everybody respects UCONN. They have done enough to earn respect for years to come. ANd yea, I agree, the can beat anybody on any given night despite their record this year. Not throwing a bone- just recognizing Calhoun is a class guy- everybody knows that. Calhoun would have protested the call but it wouldn't have changed.

Boeheim should have played Rautins earlier and Johnson may want to show up for a few more SYR games before going on to the NBA.

The point is he granted after UCONN got possession, which is totally wrong. Otherwise, coaches could attempt to call timeout anytime one of their not so good players trying to take a shot. The kid could be in the motion and some coach could scream timeout on the sideline to call a timeout just to stop the kid. I can see some massive abuse with this.

Bottom line is the jacka** Cahill granted the timeout after Scoop got blocked and UCONN took possession. It was a total screw job and Cuse got bailed out yet again. If he called it correctly, UCONN would have had the ball going for a win or run out the clock for OT. Anyway you look at it, UCONN got screwed. As long as it won't prevent UCONN from going to the NCAA, I am over it. If it does, then there some massive injustice being done here cause UCONN players played their hearts out coming back from 16 points down.

I give you credit, SFPu$$y - for once, you actually showed your face around here after a loss. Is the board's favorite 6th grade girl finally growing up?

What are you? The ultimate Cincy crying ***** who is always around with his ultimate pathetic homer comments? I been around here a lot longer than you and I am here whether win or lose when I do have the time to post.

If I am in the 6th grade, you must still be in preschool.

03-yawn Easy tiger, I didn't mean to cut you so deep. You're just the easiest target on the board, that's all. It'll be okay, I promise.

Anyway, I doubt you'll find many UC fans - including this Ultimate Cincy Crying ***** (how the heck does that word not get censored?) - expecting a win this Saturday, not with Oompa-Loompa Steve Kragthorpe tramping along our sideline. Honestly, if UConn doesn't win that game at home with your coach back in play by 15+ I'd say you're well worthy of 11th place.

You know, 11th place is not some place we are used to. It has been a pathetic year by UCONN standards, but it still does not change the fact UCONN got hosed last night by the home cooking refs.

Don't worry though, we will be in the top of the BE soon enough.

I find it ironic that a potentially poor officiating decision has you this up in arms when you were pretty dismissive of a critical officiating decision THAT WAS ACKNOWLEDGED TO BE IN ERROR AND PLAYED A PIVOTAL ROLE IN UCONN WINNING A FOOTBALL GAME AGAINST LOUISVILLE...

We went through this a zillion times already. Refs made up the bad call with another call for UL against UCONN in that same game. Also, UL had the lead going into the 4th. Let's not go back to that again. The original fair catch call was a very bad mistake but refs made up the call and gave UL the ball during another kickoff where UCONN recovered the ball inside UL's red zone.

AS for last night, there was no make up call. UCONN got screwed not once, but twice. Rautin traveling was another call clearly missed by the refs. Both had huge impact on the game.

Here are all the make up calls during that UCONN/UL game in full detail: http://www.youtube.com/user/santini35#p/...5e-txWErsU
