Brings back memories of Erskine Caldwell
In the Sun Belt tournament 15+ years ago he had a foul shot hit the rim, go straight up, and then drop through to beat ASU.
Tonight's shot was, of course, more unbelievable. To hit off the rim from 40+ feet and then somehow drop through, must break every law of physics known to man. I believe I started to look away, figuring the game was over, and then out of the corner of my eye saw the ball bouncing with a chance to drop through. Definitely a miracle. Definitely well deserved.

That should make national TV. Joe Kleine said that when the ball hit the rim, he uttered something he probably shouldn't have, and then saw the ball drop back through. That is probably the most incredible finish I can ever remember seeing in person. Last season's ASU game in Jonesboro was probably #1 until tonight.

It was #4 on Sportcenter's plays of the day.

I was thinking about that free throw of Erskine Calwell today also. It would rank as the third best finish of a UALR/ASU game that I have ever seen. Second place in my opinion goes to the three that Mark Green hit to beat ASU at Alltel with almost 13,000 present. But last night is the hands down #1 best finish I've ever witnessed to a game in this rivalry!
