Scotto, good to see you at the Hot Stove meeting
Tuesday night. I don't get to see you much during the season, except from across the court. I hadn't been to one of those in years. Back in the day they were held at some shrimp and oyster restaurant over by the Deaf School. I couldn't believe how big the crowd was. And you can't beat free beer and hot dogs. That might even draw a few more to Trojans games.

Thanks Bob, it's good to be seen. Man, you ARE old school. I remember Hot Stove at Schlotzki's, Holy Souls and now the Chamber. But the Oyster Bar is before even MY time.
Pitchers and catchers report in 2 weeks..! Won't be long now. I really like be part of the Angels organization. These guys are serious about player development and getting to the World Series. The one thing I was surprised about was Flores saying if all things were equal, they would draft a high school player over a college player.
Sounds like we'll finally have a bull pen. And how about the new "net" at the left field wall..?

It could be that long ago I knew what the term "Hot Stove" meant regarding baseball. But, I have forgotten. Could someone say what "hot stove league" means?

Refers to the off season and conjures up images of fans sitting around a hot stove in the winter discussing and waiting for the coming season.
