Notre Dame goes down at Rutgers 74-73
Rutgers made the plays down the stretch at the end to hold on for their first win of the season at home. The key to this game was Hamady Ndiaye's defense was better than Luke Haragody's offense. The Irish have now lost 10 of their last 12 road conference games...

Notre Dame was an NIT team last year and they appear headed back to the NIT. Considering that Harangody and Tory Jackson are seniors, I see Notre Dame slipping towards the bottom of the league.

How has Mike Brey kept that job for so long? This stuff happens every year it seems like.

ND seems like an Alabama or Florida to me in that regard. If the basketball is good, great. If not, who cares, as spring practice will be here soon enough.
