come gametime we all know he's going to throws 3 picks and cough it up twice, but he sure has a strong arm 03-lmfao
Not according to the folks at Sporting News Today. Read it and weep... 04-cheers
we all know when you rough him up like auburn, usf, and fsu did he goes into a shell and implodes. we all saw it play out last year, with devine in the backfield he had no business losing those games but he did. he has all the attributes but a 10 cent head, that alone will keep him out of the first day. unless some moron owner like al davis takes him.
I noticed Pike didn't do so hot against Florida... 05-stirthepot

Nah, but he did juuuuust fine against West Virginia. Twice.

And of course, I could throw your insult out against you - your mancrush Jarrett Brown didn't do so hot against 6-6 (!) FSU - but I'm a nice guy and I'll refrain.

The Gator Bowl was a losing proposition either way. If WVU won, it was because FSU was no good. If we lost, it was the emotion of Bowden's last game. Either way that game went, we lost...

Uh, if that's how you'd like to justify it, go ahead. I'd say it had more to do with your bad coach and not-particularly-good quarterback, but okay.

Again, I could use your argument against you - UC was in a losing situation too, if we win its cuz of the Urban Meyer deathbed "story," the Gators were distracted, etc. if we lose we just suck and belong in the Patriot League - but again, I'll refrain.

Bit every team in the country, and I mean EVERY team would have lost big against Florida if they lost their head coach going into that game. If Alabama loses Saban to the NFL or Tressel leaves OSU then both those teams lose big and I mean BIG to Florida in that Sugar Bowl. And please dont compare WVU beating Oklahoma in the fiesta bowl to UC playing Fla. Oklahoma was a good team, but nowhere near the talent level of Florida this year.
They were saying the same thing about WVU a couple years ago when RR left. But it didn't work out that way, and Oklahoma never knew what hit them. This difference was behind center. Pat White was a winner...
Yeah but Pat White was a LOSER to Tony Pike in the only game they played head to head (in your stadium I might add.)

We can do this oneupmanship all day long. Your comment is that Pike beat WVU - twice. Pat White beat UC 3 times. But my comment in reply is that Pat White was victorious in 4 straight bowl games. Top that, if you can. We all know you can't. Nobody can...

Pike is 1-0 against Pat White. Pat White is 0-1 against Pike. Top that. We all know you can't. By the way UC owns WVU as of late. (in basketball too.)

Pike threw a TD that was called back because of a penalty. Additionally, a receiver ran the wrong route resulting in an incompletion, and I counted two drops. All in all, I don't think the 5-12 reflects how he played in the first half.

Mardy G. has been the most impressive offensive player today.

Brown really didn't get a chance. He was in early in the game, and had a center snap sail over his head in one of his 3 possessions. Then the south coaches started out the 2nd half with Tebow and left him in there long enough for the game get out of hand. By the time they finally put Brown on the field, the North rushers were just teeing off, since the game was essentially over...

Tebow looked like crap, and they gave him every opportunity to do so...

What do you mean the south rushers were "teeing off"? There were no blitzes allowed. Four man rush, all game. Pike didn't look great but Brown had a tough day. That pick at the end of the game was bad.

RE: Tony Pike Best QB at the Senior Bowl
Teeing off means that the rushers had no fear of the run. The South team was so far behind that running wouldn't do them any good. A defensive line that has no worries about a running game can bull rush with impunity. I thought everyone could figure that out for themselves. I guess I was wrong...

Or in the case of WVU alums, "teeing off" is something you do to your cousin when you are sure she is passed out from drinking too much moonshine.03-lmfao

I don't have any cousins in West Virginia, and they don't like moonshine. I grew up on preacher's daughters... 04-cheers
